The two cultures of Cyprus and Nigeria met on this day when Elpida and Ameen tied the knot in blissful harmony. A traditional Cyprus wedding ceremony of simplicity and the closeness of family and friends, was followed by a burst of colour and music that filled the air and brought rapture to the whole day.
The couple met in London where they fell in love, and they chose Galu Seaside at Oroklini Beach to celebrate their love and their commitment to each other.
With dusky pink roses in the wedding bouquet and soft gold adorning the wedding cake, the ceremony was a subtle and warm affair that gave way to an explosion of colour and sound later on when everyone began to party. The beachside location was perfect and as the couple emerged in traditional Nigerian dress it was clear this coming together of the two cultures was as seamless and effortless as the meeting of the sea and the shore.
A traditional Greek church wedding, a party on the beach, and larger than life Nigerian dance moves, all made this a Cyprus wedding to remember.
